We went to see Herbie Hancock this evening.  It was amazing.  I'm blown away by the deconstruction and then integration that his quartet performed.  Even at its most basic it was recognizable.  Even at its most integrated, which they took things to layers and levels beyond where a piece of music may have ever been before, its still recognizable.  Beautiful and awesome.  Ageless Herbie and accompanied by Lionel Loueke who may be the the best guitarist I've seen.  James Genus on bass and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums.
